Install Sun IDM Gateway for Active Directory

1.  On the Sun Identity Manager VMWare image, explore the contents of the Sun Identity Manager CD  (copied to…)

     c:\temp\sun-im

2.  Note the file   gateway.zip

3.  This file has already been copied to the Active Directory VMWare image and expanded into the following directory:

     c:\sun-gateway

4.  In order for the Sun Identity Manager to be able to communicate with Active Directory, we must install the Sun IDM Gateway service on the Active Directory server.

5.  Open a DOS command prompt (Start à Run à cmd  à OK)

6.  Change directory to the location of the Sun IDM Gateway binary and library files:

cd \sun-gateway

7.  Execute the Sun IDM Gateway binary to register the gateway libraries.

gateway –i

8.  Execute the Sun IDM Gateway binary to install the gateway service.

gateway –s

9.  Close the command prompt (type   exit )
